Mrs. Kendrick's dialogue during her meeting with Maddie is a bit confusing. She makes the distinction between "the day after tomorrow" and "Friday", but why would the timeframe in which she must "convince the lawyer" extend beyond "the hearing"? Regardless, the distinction stands, and that this conversation happens on Monday - not Wednesday - is required by the timeline.

Only by accounting for the Lost Year, which sets his most recent over-indulgence (in "The Son Also Rises") at 14.5 - rather than a mere 2.5 - months prior, does David's "2 years" claim come anywhere near reality. Disregard the Lost Year, and BMOMS is still four months shy of David and Maddie having even known each other for two years.

All of these moments likely took place after midnight (and thus technically on Wednesday), but you get the idea...

Hi Ryan, I'm trying to make sense of the timing of this episode. You have the episode starting on a Tuesday, which means Maddie was in her bed at around 9pm when she has her dream about David and his ex-wife. She calls the airline and wants to get on the next flight to NY. Even if she had been able to fly out of LA at midnight, that would not have gotten her to NY until around 8am.

But, we first see her in NY after David leaves the bar, which is likely to be... what, maybe somewhere between 11pm and 1am.

Just seems like there must be another day in between when he finds out Jimmy died and when he attends the funeral. Maybe a day where he attends a wake, meets up with old buddies and they all go to the bar afterwards. That same day would be Maddie's "travel day" which ends with her sitting in David's hotel room at what seems to be 11, 12, 1, maybe.

Oh, the never-ending timeline issues... 🤦‍♀️ Anyway, it's not a big deal. I just watched the episode recently and it got me thinking.
